As a Family Day Child Care Provider I learned, the vast majority of working families didn’t qualify for government assistance and struggled with feeding their family. I began sending bag meals home with some kids after witnessing a toddler in care pull at the refrigerator while screaming from hunger. It’s not just homeless and low income families that are struggling with hunger. It’s our barbers, beauticians, bankers, receptionists, bus drivers, etc that are struggling with feeding their families. Helping Our Community RVA free Lunch & Cake Food Drives and other programs provided, supply immediate aid to Virginia communities with food, clothes, shoes, personal hygiene supplies, water, toiletries, community cleanup, and supportive services.
