Serving Real Richmond Neighborhoods

Who We Are
Here at Helping Our Community RVA, we aim to empower and educate the Richmond, Virginia community with strategies and solutions that will positively impact their mental health and well-being.
We introduce awareness and knowledge of the many resources available in our community that will promote change in poverty, hunger, homelessness, and abuse. We assist in helping to build more substantial households by advocating, helping to develop, and coordinate more tools that promote family reunification and stability.

Environmental Awareness Education
Increasing conscious ecological responsible decisions to create more sustainable communities for life.

Hunger Relief "Free Lunch & Cake"
The lack of nutrition from a balanced meal and water to keep hydrated and to help body function is lost among our homeless and low income. We are serving the homeless and low income communities with free well balanced meals, water, and educating them on the importance of a balanced diet.

Community Watch
Many living in low income and poverty based neighborhoods have become accustomed to violence and crime. This state of mind creates a divide with law enforcement and citizens, possibly discouraging them from cooperating with officers' investigations. In an effort to build hope in these communities, we plan to assist law enforcement with apprehending and prosecuting offenders committing crimes in these areas with access to surveillance recordings. Crimes will no longer go unwitnessed with the support of community home and business owners’ surveillance data.
